Account Manager, New York Region

Job Scope:

This position is responsible for the sale of products and services for the company. This requires maintaining excellent relationships with customers and vast knowledge of the industry. This position also requires a candidate in the New York Sales region that has the ability to travel.

Essential Duties:

Responsible for the sale of products and services represented geographically by state
Conduct sales calls, schedule promotional work, and track sales activities
Plan effective coverage by county to penetrate all potential customers within assigned territory
Understand each customer’s hierarchy and develop customer profiles to qualify sales potential
Gather data on competitive products and pricing and report to sales administration personnel for their respective products
Assist or coordinate the start-up of new equipment or plants with the manufacturers’ representative
Follow up on all quotes and report any lost sales activity on a formal report
Work with manufacturers’ sales representatives for any potential sales of specific products or services represented
Submit business opportunities and activities via the CRM, and complete expense reports

Secondary Duties:

Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software
Knowledge of aggregate parts, service, and products
Aptitude for sales

Education Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or equal years of experience

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience Requirements:

Three to five year of aggregate industry experience
