Mellott was thrilled to have students from Berkley Springs CTE (Career and Technical Education), here for a visit and a tour of our entire campus. The day started off at the Ramesh Patel Learning Center, with Jeff Rowland, Manager of Human Resources, who spoke about Mellott’s core values, safety, integrity, commitment, respect, and excellence. “It is always a pleasure to talk with current students that have the potential to become employees someday. Our desire is to create relationships in our community that lead to the benefit of employment and overall success. Mellott University can be the catalyst for students to launch a successful working career in our industry.”, Jeff Rowland.
Chad Brinegar, Berkeley Springs High School, Business, Digital Imaging, and CWST Teacher, had this to say, “What an awesome career opportunity that Mellott has to offer our students. It is amazing for our students to have a chance to display their talents so close to home.” Mellott takes pride in educating the future leaders of the aggregate industry. Our on-the-job training and Mellott University are just a couple of the many ways we do that.
Les Morris, Technical Trainer here at Mellott said, “Today we were able to demonstrate what Mellott has to offer for our area schools. Opportunities to include internships, Mellott Tech’s service and fabrication programs, and full-time employment were introduced to the students, and they also had the opportunity to tour our facilities to see what happens on our campus every day. These students have been introduced to welding, burn table, and tool usage in their respective high school classrooms. By touring our facility, they were able to connect the classroom to the workplace. Our employees here at Mellott did a great job leading the students in small groups. Each interaction along the tour with our employees created a lasting impression and they will always remember their experience here at Mellott.”
